Ethanhaas.org Unrelated to “Cloverfield”
A couple of days ago, there was a cryptic message that would show up at ethanhaas.org (no point linking it; site is no longer there). The message was as follows:

Don’t bother going to visit, because it’s gone. I found an email for technical contact in the whois record for the site and shot a query over there. I received a response last night:
In the past 24 hours we have received over 900 emails regarding Ethan Haas and the movie associated with his name. Our staff can’t respond to each email. Here is what we know.
Someone has uploaded files to our server and forwarded and hotlinked to the content. We are in the process of taking the material off of our website and banning the IP. We are investigating this problem. No other information is available at this time.
We are sorry for any problems or confusion this may have caused.
Guess that clears that up. No more harassing the poor hosts over there, please? The last thing we want to do is turn this ARG into an excuse the annoy the tits off people uninterested and uninvolved. Pass the word along.

I just went to the site… 8:14PM GMT…. it’s still there… Perhaps the domain is pointing to another host?
